ACTION VS MOTION

There’s time for talkin, and there’s times for walkin. Quote by “A very bright New Life’er”

Another way to say it is Action versus Motion. Motion is where you talk and plan organize a plan… Action is where the work actually gets done. Sometimes it’s time to talk and plan and strategize, and sometimes it’s time for the rubber to hit the road… so once the “talkin” is done, it’s time to engage, and walk it. (I.e. you do not want to get stuck in “motion” too long, or nothing will ever happen or get done).

I’ll use the example of a 22 year old with spinal pain, migraines and digestive problems, a reverse C-curve and an advanced phase 2 of spinal degeneration. If that’s you, you can seek “experts” in many different fields, you can get x-rays and other types of imaging done, you can then follow through with many different modes of care like medication, pain injections, massage, acupuncture, etc… but, if one of the “experts” you sought was a chiropractor specializing in spinal reconstruction, and you sat through a doctor’s report, you will know that the only real way to address the problem, correct the curve, reverse the damage and eliminate the symptoms permanently is by following a corrective plan of care. At that point you will know the exact steps, then (to get what you want), you’ve got to do the walkin.

Same thing with corrective exercises, if you don’t have the C-curve in your neck, you can “talk” about it and make plans to change it all day long, but until you are consistently (day after day, 5+ days/week) laying on a block of foam and actively stretching the ligaments at the front of the spine… you’re just “talkin”. What makes the difference is the “walkin”!

What else can this “talkin/walkin” situation apply to? Literally everything that is important in your life! Many of you have dreams you have long given up on because you have been too scared – too busy – too distracted to walk in them. Obese and want to lose weight? – get a hold on what you need to do, and do it! Don’t let go. Stuck on nicotine (alcohol, drugs, overeating, watching tv, binge using your phone, etc.), get rid of it! Talk and determine what to do – then walk it!!!

Whatever it is that needs to change in your life, you know what to do. Now is the time to Walk It. Step after step, after step, after step until finally the walk is done. You can do it. You have what it takes. You are worth it. The people you love are worth it. Now walk it!
